The 5,000-seat James L. Knight Center auditorium boasts sophisticated sound and lighting systems that have met the needs of the most demanding individuals and convention groups, from presidential candidates to Luciano Pavarotti, and from the Summit of the Americas to the American Society of Travel Agents World Congress. A 16,000- square-foot staging area expands the Center’s capabilities to address the special requirement of every type of meeting or event. Riverfront Hall, adds 28,000 square feet of exhibit space to the Convention Center. Overlooking the Miami River, the facility has the character of a luxuriously carpeted grand ballroom. The hall is divisible into three separate sections of 4,000, 11,000 and 13,000 square feet. A full complement of utilities includes fully distributed telecommunications access and drop acoustic-tile ceilings. Other important features include a built-in public-address system, columns on 30-foot centers with electrical (120V/208V) and freight access via a 20’ x 10’ x 10’ freight elevator at a 20,000-pound capacity.
